Kiboyo, Uganda
Our first site is in Kiboyo, Iganga District in Uganda, East Africa. Kiboyo is primarily a Muslim village (about 95%). In this village of about 300-500 people, a man named Pastor Martin Mukwaya lives. Pastor Mukwaya has a strong vision for the future of his village. The focus of Bridge Connections, Inc. is currently to build up and resource Pastor Mukwaya so that the vision God gave him will soon become a reality.

Bridge Connections Work
GOSPEL: This picture to the left is from our Summer 08 trip to Uganda, Africa. Pastor Martin (director of the orphanage) is holding up "The Proclaimer," which is a solar powered audio Bible which has the entire New Testament in their native tongue. These run about $70 each but 7 of them were donated by www.faithcomesbyhearing.com.

CLEAN WATER: One of the primary goals of Bridge Connections was to drill a clean well in the village of Kiboyo. Many people from the village get sick from malaria and other water born diseases because clean water is not easily accessible in many places. When our team in the Summer of 08 they took this picture of a small boy drawing water from a murky diseased watering hole. We thought it was tragic that he had a USA t-shirt on that in a way was saying, "we'll give you our old t-shirt, but not clean water." After raising thousands of dollars, Bridge Connections has recently been able to drill a clean water well.

SHELTER: In 2007 on our first trip to Uganda, Africa our team realized the poor sleeping conditions of many of the children in Kiboyo. In response, many gave generously and as part of our "SHELTER" initiative we built this building in 2008 which homes several children and orphans.
FOOD: We have helped to plant crops for the orphanage.
GOSPEL: We used this generator, along with a projector and bed sheet to show a Jesus video. We were surprised and blessed by how many people from the surrounding areas showed up for this spontaneous event.
